Abstract
Bacopamonnieri (L.)Wettst.is a well-known medicinal plant of Sikkim Himalaya.By different solvent extractions and chromatographic techniques an active compound was isolated from the leaves of Bacopamonnieri (L.) Wettst. Infra-red spectroscopy, mass spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance studies showed that the isolated compound was chemically 3,4dihydroxycinnamic acid.
