Jute bioscience and cost-effective seed production trials

The present research wasrnconducted at three different districts of Bangladesh such as Dinajpur, Bograrnand, Comilla during the year staring from 2011 to 2013. By the experiment wernobserved the performance on seed production of the variety CVL-1, economic profitabilityrnand chemical constituents. Lignin presence and fibre formation were detected atrnvery early stages. The variety CVL-1 showed statistically significant seedrnyield (895 kg/ha) and yield contributing parameters such as plant height,rnnumber of branch per plant, number of capsule per plant, number of seed perrncapsule in Dinajpur followed by Bogra and Comilla. The seed production inrnDinajpur location was found economic profitable seed production area.
