Micronutrients like Fe and Zn plays a vital role in increasing crop yields and occupies an important portion by virtue of their essentiality for growth and development of plant. Trend to more intensive crop production with higher yields, heavier usage of fertilizers increases the need for greater consideration and usage of micronutrients. Highest grain and straw yield of wheat was recorded under the application of RDF + soil application of ZnSO4 @ 10 kg ha-1 + FeSO4 @ 20 kg ha-1 (T12). Similarly, the yield attributes viz., plant height at 40 DAS, 70 DAS and at harvest; numbers of tillers at 45 DAS and at harvest and numbers of effective tillers at harvest of wheat crop were recorded significantly highest under treatment T12. Higher growth was observed in soil application of FeSO4 and ZnSO4 as compared to chelated Fe and Zn spray.
